Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC) and the visiting South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC), saw Southern Wayne's soccer squad knock off South Johnston by a count of 3-1.

The Saints (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Spartans enter the Quad County 3A battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Smithfield-Selma tipped West Johnston (Benson, NC), 4-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Trojans confront the Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) in a Quad County 3A battle, on Monday, September 30. South Johnston will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 4-6 record after their 4-0 league loss to East Wake (Wendell, NC).
