The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles to 4 in the Bulldogs league win on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bryan County for a 1A D-II Region 3 battle on Tuesday, October 1. Emanuel County Institute will confront a Redskins team coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Islands (Savannah, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Jenkins County moves to 4-13 on the season. The War eagles host Claxton (Claxton, GA) to confront the Tigers in a 1A D-II Region 3 battle on Tuesday, October 1. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 6-10.
