Sequoyah Indians (Tahlequah, OK) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Westville Yellowjackets (Westville, OK), 8-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, Sequoyah upgrades its record to 28-3 on the year. The Indians travel to Roland (Roland, OK) to play the Rangers in a non-league game on Tuesday, October 1. The Rangers enter the game with a record of 14-11.

The Yellowjackets now have a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they host Jay for a non-league bout on Monday, September 30. Westville will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Grove (Grove, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-9.
