In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks.

The Crusaders (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Middletown (Middletown, NY). The Middie Bears come into the Section 9 Orange County I challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Middletown was beaten by Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Goldbacks meet the Kingston Tigers (Kingston, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County I challenge, on Friday, September 27. Newburgh Free Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY).
