Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ) and the host Union Farmers (Union, NJ), observed Scotch Plains-Fanwood's volleyball team hold off Union by a count of 2-1.

The Raiders (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Cranford (Cranford, NJ). The Cougars enter the Union County - Mountain contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Cranford was tipped by New Providence (New Providence, NJ), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Farmers battle the Linden Tigers (Linden, NJ) in a Union County - Mountain bout, on Thursday, September 26. Union will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 2-1 league win over Dayton (Springfield, NJ).
