The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA) and the host King/Drew Golden Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), witnessed San Pedro's flag football squad knock off King/Drew by a tally of 38-14.

The Pirates (13-1) will now prepare for their contest against Carson (Carson, CA). The Colts go into the Marine bout with a 5-5 record. In their last bout, Carson dropped by Torrance (Torrance, CA), 21-0, in a non-league bout.

The Golden Eagles now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Narbonne for a Marine bout on Thursday, September 25. King/Drew will encounter a Gauchos team coming off a 26-0 non-league win over El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA). The Gauchos record now stands at 9-3.
