In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Chambers Cougars soccer squad scored a tight 5-1 victory over the Mallard Creek Mavericks.
The Cougars (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Butler (Matthews, NC). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Butler Independence (Charlotte, NC), 1-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Mavericks confront the Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars (Monroe, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 26. Mallard Creek will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The Cougars go into the outing with a 1-4 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Forest Hills (Marshville, NC).
