In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host West Carteret Patriots volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Havelock Rams.

The Patriots (14-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Monarchs come into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record.

Next, the Rams play the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 30. Havelock will attempt to advance on its 5-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the test with a 2-9 record after their 2-0 league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC).
