In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Laurel Golden Tornadoes volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Heidelberg Oilers.

The Golden Tornadoes (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against North Pike (Summit, MS). The Jaguars enter the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, North Pike was tipped by South Jones (Ellisville, MS), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Oilers meet the Bay Springs Bulldogs (Bay Springs, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 29. Heidelberg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Forest (Forest, MS).
