Phoenix Firebirds (Phoenix, NY) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Homer Trojans (Homer, NY), 3-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Phoenix moves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Oswego (Oswego, NY) to clash with the Bucs in a non-league test on Monday, September 29. The Bucs come into the test with a record of 3-2. Oswego lost 4-3 in their recent league test against Auburn (Auburn, NY)

The Trojans now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rome Free Academy for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 27. Homer will confront a Black Knights squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to New Hartford (New Hartford, NY). The Black Knights record now stands at 1-5.
