Match Summary
Our Varsity teams were next up, with the Lady Falcons' Varsity squad adding some very solid servers to their mix. While we could compete with them in court play and had a fantastic 93% serve percentage in the match, we struggled with serve receive, dropping to only 57%. The Falcons were able to get a 5 point serving run on us early in the first set, with a powerful server that we had no answer for. After getting behind early, our Phoenix girls were unable to regain the ground we lost. The 2nd set was extremely competitive, and ended up going into overtime. We could almost taste victory, especially when a critical "Back row attack" call was made against the Falcons late in the set. But our struggle with serve receive came back to bite us, and the Falcons took us down 27-25.
