In Thursday's league challenge, the host Union City Golden Tornadoes volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Halls Tigers.

The Golden Tornadoes (15-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Carlisle County (Bardwell, KY). The Comets enter the non-league challenge with a 13-9 record. In their last challenge, Carlisle County beat Hickman County (Clinton, KY), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 27. Halls will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Cardinals go into the test with a 15-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Cordova (Cordova, TN).
