Heppner Mustangs (Heppner, OR) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Stanfield Tigers (Stanfield, OR), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Heppner improves its record to 16-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Irrigon (Irrigon, OR) to face the Knights in a 2A Blue Mountain test on Thursday, October 2. The Knights go into the test with a record of 11-4. Irrigon won 3-1 in their recent league test against Grant Union (John Day, OR)

The Tigers now own a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Echo for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Stanfield will face a Cougars squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Cove (Cove, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 9-10.
