Virginia High School Volleyball - Patrick County edged by James River

The Patrick County Cougars volleyball squad (Stuart, VA), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's league battle with the host James River Knights (Buchanan, VA)

With the win, James River improves its record to 9-2 on the season. The Knights travel to Bath County (Hot Springs, VA) to battle the Chargers in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 27. The Chargers enter the contest with a record of 11-4. Bath County won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Craig County (New Castle, VA)

Next, the Cougars battle the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 29. Patrick County will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Maroon Tide enter the contest with a 3-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Grayson County (Independence, VA).
