In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Shelby Valley Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Johnson Central Golden Eagles.
The Wildcats (20-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Somerset Christian (Somerset, KY). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Somerset Christian gained a win over Knox Central (Barbourville, KY), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paintsville for a District 57 test on Monday, September 29. Johnson Central will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 13-10.
