Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets (Williamsburg, KY) and the host South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY), observed Williamsburg's volleyball team hold off South Laurel by a tally of 3-2.

The Yellow Jackets (14-11) will now prepare for their contest against Barbourville (Barbourville, KY). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 13-10 record. In their last contest, Barbourville was edged by Bell County (Pineville, KY), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Allen County-Scottsville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 27. South Laurel will meet a Patriots team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Edmonson County (Brownsville, KY). The Patriots record now stands at 14-9.
