The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) and the visiting Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA), saw Eastern Montgomery's volleyball squad beat Bland County by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Eastern Montgomery upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Mustangs host Bath County (Hot Springs, VA) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 4. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Bath County won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA)

The Bears now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Giles for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 27. Bland County will play a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 12-1.
