East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), 5-3 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the Charlotte Catholic Cougars (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 27. East Lincoln will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 4-1 league win over East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).

The Indians now have a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Statesville for a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Wednesday, September 28. St. Stephens will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 6-2 league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 5-7.
