In Monday's league game, the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) soccer squad tipped the host East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), by a final score of 1-0.

The Hilltoppers (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats come into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Hendersonville nudged East Rutherford (Forest City, NC), 4-2, in a league test.

With the loss, East Rutherford drops to 3-8 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Polk County (Columbus, NC) to meet the Wolverines in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A test on Wednesday, September 28. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 0-10. Polk County lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC)
