The crowd at Monday's league test between the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) and the host Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), saw Union Academy's soccer squad triumph over Mount Pleasant by a margin of 6-0.
The Cardinals now sport a 8-2 record. They play next when they host North Stanly for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A test on Wednesday, September 28. Union Academy will meet a Comets squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Comets record now stands at 0-12.
With the loss, Mount Pleasant drops to 5-8 on the season. The Tigers travel to Robinson (Concord, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A test on Wednesday, September 28. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 11-1. Robinson won 8-0 in their recent league test against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC)
