Archer Tigers (Lawrenceville, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs (Winder, GA), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they host South Gwinnett for a 7A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. Archer will battle a Comets squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Parkview (Lilburn, GA). The Comets record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Winder-Barrow falls to 13-5 on the campaign. The Bulldoggs host Jefferson (Jefferson, GA) to battle the Dragons in a 5A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 13-9. Jefferson won 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Heritage (Conyers, GA)
