Glascock County Panthers (Gibson, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they host Georgia Military College for a 1A D-II Region 5 challenge on Thursday, September 29. Glascock County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Lamar County (Barnesville, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Briarwood Academy falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Piedmont Academy (Monticello, GA) to face the Cougars in a GIAA 2AA challenge on Tuesday, September 27. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 15-2. Piedmont Academy won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Newton (Covington, GA)
