Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA), 25-17 in a non-league challenge.

The War Eagles now own a 9-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Oconee for a 4A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. Chestatee will face a Titans squad coming off a 3-2 league win over North Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Titans record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, East Jackson falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Eagles host Union County (Blairsville, GA) to face the Panthers in a 2A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 11-5. Union County won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Banks County (Homer, GA)
