The Altavista Colonels volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Cumberland Dukes to 0 in the Colonels non-league victory on Monday.

The Colonels now have a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chatham for a Dogwood game on Tuesday, September 27. Altavista will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 3-0 league win over William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-10.

The Dukes (0-10) will now prepare for their game against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA). The Knights enter the James River game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Buckingham gained a win over Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA), 3-1, in a league game.
