St. Anthony Bulldogs (Effingham, IL) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights (Arthur, IL), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs confront the Robinson Maroons (Robinson, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. St. Anthony will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Maroons enter the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL).

The Knights now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Argenta-Oreana for a Lincoln Prairie challenge on Thursday, September 28. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will confront a Bombers team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Lutheran/Calvary (Springfield, IL). The Bombers record now stands at 10-7.
