South Shelby Cardinals (Shelbina, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Knox County Eagles (Edina, MO), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Shelby for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 28. South Shelby will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Schuyler County (Lancaster, MO). The Raiders record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Knox County falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, MO) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 28. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 5-15. Harrisburg lost 7-5 in their recent non-league challenge against New Franklin (New Franklin, MO)
