The Aquinas Fightin' Irish volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Washington-Wilkes Tigers to 1 in the Fightin' Irish league victory on Tuesday.

The Fightin' Irish now have a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oglethorpe County for a 1A Area 5 contest on Thursday, September 28. Aquinas will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Greene County (Greensboro, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 19-3.

With the loss, Washington-Wilkes drops to 1-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Social Circle (Social Circle, GA) to battle the Redskins in a 1A Area 5 contest on Thursday, September 28. The Redskins come into the contest with a record of 9-15. Social Circle won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Hampton (Hampton, GA)
