The Green River Pirates volleyball team (Green River, UT), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the host Wayne Badgers (Bicknell, UT)

The Badgers (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Escalante (Escalante, UT). The Moquis come into the 1A Region 20 challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Escalante nudged Green River (Green River, UT), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pirates encounter the Monticello Buckaroo (Monticello, UT) in a 1A Region 19 challenge, on Thursday, September 28. Green River will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Buckaroo come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Whitehorse (Montezuma Creek, UT).
