The Petal Panthers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Meridian Wildcats to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.
The Panthers now have a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pearl for a Class 6 Region 6 game on Thursday, September 28. Petal will meet a Pirates team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Brandon (Brandon, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 4-24.
The Wildcats (5-15) will now prepare for their game against Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS). The Warriors enter the Class 7 Region 3 game with a 19-11 record. In their last game, Oak Grove gained a win over Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS), 3-0, in a league game.
