The Samuell Spartans held off the visiting Spruce Timberwolves volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.

The Spartans now have a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Poteet for a 5A Region II District 12 test on Friday, September 29. Samuell will confront a Pirates team coming off a 3-0 league win over Seagoville (Dallas, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 16-16.

The Timberwolves (2-9) will now prepare for their test against North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Stallions enter the 5A Region II District 12 test with a 4-15 record. In their last test, North Mesquite was nudged by Adams (Dallas, TX), 3-2, in a league test.
