Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Wakefield School improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Fighting Owls travel to George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA) to face the Statesmen in a non-league test on Monday, October 7. The Statesmen go into the test with a record of 2-6.

The Hornets now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Langley for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 1. Herndon will face a Saxons squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over McLean (McLean, VA). The Saxons record now stands at 7-1.
