Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Mountainside Mavericks (Beaverton, OR) and the visiting Sandy Pioneers (Sandy, OR), saw Mountainside's soccer squad knock off Sandy by a count of 2-0.

The Mavericks (7-0) will now prepare for their battle against Westview (Portland, OR). The Wildcats enter the 6A Metro battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Westview tipped Roosevelt (Portland, OR), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Pioneers battle the North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 30. Sandy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Highlanders enter the battle with a 3-1 record after their 3-2 non-league win over La Salle (Milwaukie, OR).
