In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Burlingame Panthers volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the San Mateo Bearcats.

The Panthers (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Milpitas (Milpitas, CA). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 14-1 record. In their last challenge, Milpitas beat Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bearcats meet the Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 27. San Mateo will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Black Bears enter the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 2-0 league win over The Nueva School (San Mateo, CA).
