Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Mammoth Huskies (Mammoth Lakes, CA) and the host Desert Scorpions (Edwards AFB, CA), observed Mammoth's volleyball team hold off Desert by a count of 2-1.

The Huskies (9-0) will now prepare for their contest against Frazier Mountain (Lebec, CA). The Falcons enter the contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Frazier Mountain got by Boron (Boron, CA), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Scorpions meet the Rosamond Roadrunners (Rosamond, CA) in a contest, on Tuesday, October 1. Desert will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Roadrunners enter the contest with a 3-8 record after their 2-1 league loss to Kern Valley (Lake Isabella, CA).
