The Freeman Mavericks edged the host J.R. Tucker Tigers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next up, the Mavericks confront the Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 30. Freeman will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Patriots go into the game with a 5-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA).
The Tigers (6-4) will now prepare for their game against Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA). The Jaguars go into the non-league game with a 6-4 record. In their last game, Glen Allen was edged by Cosby (Midlothian, VA), 2-0, in a non-league game.
