In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Herndon Hornets volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Wakefield School Fighting Owls .

The Hornets (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Langley (McLean, VA). The Saxons come into the non-league challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Langley edged McLean (McLean, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Owls play the George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 7. Wakefield School will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
