In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Ridgefield Spudders volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Hockinson Hawks.

The Spudders (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Skyview (Vancouver, WA). The Storm go into the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Skyview was edged by Prairie (Vancouver, WA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Hawks now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodland for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 1. Hockinson will encounter a Beavers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to R.A. Long (Longview, WA). The Beavers record now stands at 1-6.
