Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Yough Cougars (Herminie, PA) and the host Brownsville Falcons (Brownsville, PA), saw Yough's soccer squad hold off Brownsville by a count of 2-1.

The Cougars (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Belle Vernon (Belle Vernon, PA). The Leopards enter the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Belle Vernon tipped Uniontown (Uniontown, PA), 7-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Falcons battle the Bethlehem Center Bulldogs (Fredericktown, PA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 28. Brownsville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 8-3 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Steel Valley (Munhall, PA).
