Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA), 2-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Deer Lakes advances its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA) to clash with the Golden Rams in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 1. The Golden Rams come into the test with a record of 5-1. Highlands won 12-3 in their recent non-league test against Valley (New Kensington, PA)

The Bulldogs now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Burrell for a non-league test on Monday, September 30. Shady Side Academy will clash with a Bucs team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Springdale (Springdale, PA). The Bucs record now stands at 4-5.
