In Thursday's league contest, the Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY) soccer team edged the visiting Ichabod Crane Riders (Valatie, NY), by a count of 3-2.

Next, the Sabres face the Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY) in a Colonial Council contest, on Monday, September 30. Schalmont will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Blackbirds enter the contest with a 7-1 record after their 7-2 league win over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY).
