Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Middletown Mustangs (Middletown, CA) and the host Willits Wolverines (Willits, CA), saw Middletown's soccer squad hold off Willits by a count of 1-0.

The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Clear Lake (Lakeport, CA). The Cardinals enter the North Central I battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Clear Lake was edged by Fort Bragg (Fort Bragg, CA), 6-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Wolverines battle the Lower Lake Trojans (Lower Lake, CA) in a North Central I battle, on Tuesday, October 1. Willits will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 6-1 record after their 5-0 league win over Upper Lake (Upper Lake, CA).
