Colorado High School Softball - La Junta drops to Rocky Ford

September 26, 2024: Rocky Ford, CO 81067

Rocky Ford Meloneers (Rocky Ford, CO) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad topple the visiting La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO), 11-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Rocky Ford improves its record to 11-6 on the year. The Meloneers travel to Alamosa (Alamosa, CO) to play the Mean Moose in a 3A Tri Peaks I game on Tuesday, October 1. The Mean Moose enter the game with a record of 10-10. Alamosa lost 11-4 in their recent league game against Southeast Colorado (Wiley, CO)

The Tigers now hold a 9-9 record. They play next when they host Pueblo Central for a non-league game on Saturday, September 28. La Junta will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Pueblo East (Pueblo, CO). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-5.
