The Bibb County Choctaws edged the host Pickens County Tornadoes volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next up, the Choctaws confront the American Christian Academy Patriots (Tuscaloosa, AL) in a 4A Area 6 game, on Tuesday, October 1. Bibb County will attempt to advance on its 6-5 season record. The Patriots go into the game with a 12-7 record after their 3-0 league win over West Blocton (West Blocton, AL).
The Tornadoes (2-11) will now prepare for their game against Gordo (Gordo, AL). The Green Wave go into the non-league game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Gordo nudged Bibb County (Centreville, AL), 3-0, in a non-league game.
