The Denbigh Patriots volleyball squad (Newport News, VA), was defeated 3-1 in Thursday's league battle with the host Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA)

With the win, Phoebus improves its record to 5-5 on the season. The Phantoms travel to Manor (Portsmouth, VA) to encounter the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Friday, September 27. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 2-12. Manor lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Granby (Norfolk, VA)

The Patriots now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heritage for a Peninsula battle on Tuesday, October 1. Denbigh will encounter a Hurricanes squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Menchville (Newport News, VA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 4-5.
