In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Paramount Pirates volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Firebaugh Falcons.

The Pirates (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Bellflower (Bellflower, CA). The Buccaneers come into the Suburban challenge with a 2-18 record. In their last challenge, Bellflower edged Lynwood (Lynwood, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Falcons play the Dominguez Dons (Compton, CA) in a Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Firebaugh will attempt to upgrade on its 14-11 season record. The Dons come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to Mayfair (Lakewood, CA).
