In Thursday's league match, the Smith Jewish Day School Lions (Rockville, MD) volleyball squad overcame the host Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles (Washington, DC), by a count of 3-0.
Next up, the Lions battle the Washington Christian Academy Wildcats (Olney, MD) in a Potomac Valley match, on Monday, September 30. Smith Jewish Day School will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record.
The Eagles (2-15) will now prepare for their match against Sidwell Friends (Washington, DC). The Quakers enter the non-league match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Sidwell Friends notched a victory over Bell (Washington, DC), 3-0, in a non-league match.
