Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Reardan Screaming Eagles (Reardan, WA) and the visiting Newport Grizzlies (Newport, WA), observed Reardan's volleyball team top Newport by a count of 3-1.

The Screaming Eagles (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Glacier Peak (Snohomish, WA). The Grizzlies enter the non-league contest with a 12-0 record. In their last contest, Glacier Peak notched a victory over Jackson (Mill Creek, WA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Grizzlies battle the Chewelah Cougars (Chewelah, WA) in a 2B Bi-County contest, on Tuesday, October 1. Newport will attempt to move on its 1-7 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 0-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Inchelium (Inchelium, WA).
