Ohio High School Football - Alexander nudged by Vinton County

In Friday's league bout, the Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) football team nudged the host Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH), by a final score of 12-8.

With the win, Vinton County advances its record to 1-5 on the season. The Vikings host Northwest (McDermott, OH) to encounter the Mohawks in a non-league bout on Friday, October 3. The Mohawks go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Northwest lost 21-20 in their recent league bout against Valley (Lucasville, OH)

Coming up next, the Spartans battle the River Valley Raiders (Bidwell, OH) in a Tri-Valley - Ohio contest, on Friday, October 3. Alexander will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Raiders enter the contest with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Wellston (Wellston, OH).
