The Alexandria Cardinals (Alexandria, MN) football trounced the host Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm (Sauk Rapids, MN), 49-14 in Friday's league outing.

The Cardinals now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Bemidji for a Northstar - North outing on Friday, October 3. Alexandria will clash with a Lumberjacks squad coming off a 44-14 league win over Brainerd (Brainerd, MN). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 2-3.
