Pennsylvania High School Football - Aliquippa can't hold off New Castle

September 26, 2025: New Castle, PA 16101

The New Castle Hurricanes got by the visiting Aliquippa Quips football team by a score of 18-12 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Hurricanes play the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) in a WPIAL AAAA Parkway challenge, on Friday, October 3. New Castle will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Spartans go into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 28-7 league win over Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA).

The Quips (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against West Allegheny (Imperial, PA). The Indians go into the WPIAL AAAA Parkway test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, West Allegheny tipped Ambridge (Ambridge, PA), 70-0, in a league test.
